What we do

Young Minds for Change

Management students have skills that rural enterprises need and cannot afford — branding, market research, digital presence. This programme puts the two together, and both sides get something real out of it.

Students building what SHGs cannot buy

T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) · 2025

Ubantu collaborates with educational institutions including T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) and the Goa Institute of Management (GIM).

In 2025, six interns from TAPMI worked with the Foundation to empower self-help groups and women entrepreneurs by building the marketing tools those enterprises had no way of producing themselves — Google My Business profiles, social media accounts, digital visiting cards and product catalogues.

A self-help group making soap or stitched bags is often invisible to anyone more than a village away. A Google Business profile is the cheapest thing that changes that.

Document support in the field

The same students helped communities access welfare schemes by preparing the documents that unlock them — Aadhaar, ABHA, e-Shram, Ayushman and Voter ID cards.

Research that sharpens the Foundation’s own work

Goa Institute of Management · 2024

In 2024, interns from GIM conducted research on CSR funding trends in India related to skill development and livelihoods — work that strengthened the Foundation’s own approach to raising and directing CSR support.

Are you a student, or a college?

We take interns who want fieldwork rather than a certificate, and we partner with institutions who want their students to build something that outlasts the placement.
